LOREM IPSUM IS SIMPLY DUMMY TEXT OF THE PRINTING AND TYPESETTING INDUSTRY

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English.

SLEEP APNEA

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS

If sleep apnea is not diagnosed and treated, you may present with symptoms of other problems which may actually be related to a sleep disorder. While you may be able to receive treatment for symptoms related this may never fully provide a cure because you are not receiving treatment for the main culprit. Contact Dr. Tregaskes for more information on sleep apnea and what treatment options are available.

That’s right. These warning signs are prominent signs and should never be ignored. Pay attention to:

  • Loud, persistent snoring
  • Pauses in breathing, accompanied by gasping
  • Excessive daytime sleepiness

It is important to not ignore sleep apnea. By ignoring sleep apnea, your risks of health complications such as heart damage and risk of stroke and heart attack increases. Avoiding treatment can do a lot of harm to your health.

DAYTIME SLEEPINESS

Woman In A Library — JNT Dental — Richmond, VA

Another common sign of sleep apnea is fighting sleepiness throughout the day. Do you find yourself nodding away at your desk, desperately trying to stay awake? It could be caused by sleep apnea. You may find yourself rapidly falling asleep during the quiet moments of the day when you are not active.

Even if you don’t experience daytime sleepiness, talk to your doctor if you have problems breathing during sleep.

OTHER SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS

Some other signs and symptoms of sleep apnea might include the following:

  • Morning headaches
  • Memory or learning problems
  • Not being able to concentrate
  • Feeling irritable, depressed, or having mood swings or personality changes
  • Waking up frequently to urinate
  • Dry mouth or sore throat when you wake up
